Library Liaison Newsletter - Fall-Winter

1 LIBRARY LIAISON FALL/WINTER 2024 Fall/Winter 2024 VOLUME 6 / ISSUE 3 Director’s Report Kacie V. Armstrong This fall and winter season, Euclid Public Library will finalize the details regarding the renovation and temporary relocation of the Main Library. In November 2023, Euclid voters approved the Permanent Improvement levy, which will allow us to renovate the building. Renovations will include updating the roofing, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC units. In addition, the Library will be completely revamped, adding more space for youth and improving the library’s overall layout and functionality. The renovation is expected to start early January 2025 and be completed by the end of the year. Euclid Public Library will be moving out of the facility and into temporary locations during this time. Residents will be able to continue to check out books, movies, music, use computers, copy and print documents, and apply for passports and photos. To learn more about these temporary locations, including dates that the Library will be closed for moving, please visit us at euclidlibrary.org/renovations. Euclid residents can also participate in our Renovation Town Hall Meetings on September 11 & 16 or October 9 & 14. See Page 2 for times and locations. Please join the Library as we complete the Cuyahoga Reads program and consider signing up for a Library Card during the month of September. Participate in “Freed Between the Lines”, a nationwide celebration of Banned Books Week which takes place during the week of September 22-28. There is much to do in November, including Children’s Book Week November 4-10, and Election Day on Tuesday, November 5. 631 East 222nd Street / Euclid, Ohio 44123 / (216) 261-5300 / euclidlibrary.org / Connect with us!
